Freedom of movement is one of the European Union’s core achievements, but in practice not all EU citizens are able to exercise this right equally. Mobile EU citizens experiencing poverty, homelessness, and other forms of vulnerability often face barriers to residence, social protection, and access to basic rights.
During this webinar, FEANTSA will present the main findings of our research report Mapping Access to Rights for Destitute Mobile EU Citizens in Europe. The discussion will explore how Member States interpret and implement the rights of destitute mobile EU citizens, and how these differences shape access to support across Europe.
Contributions from national-level speakers will highlight existing structures, practical obstacles, and gaps in implementation, offering an opportunity to exchange perspectives on homelessness, exclusion, and access to rights within the EU.
